What inspired you to start your own business of organic honey?
Well! you see we shifted to Islamabad from our village in Banu 2 years back. And that was around when corona hit the world…soon we found ourselves looking for honey like we use to consume in our village. That is purest (Sidr) honey. Also known as “bairi ka shehad”. At first, we were disappointed to see that none of the honey available on the shelves of the supermarkets in Pakistan were close to what we have in our village. The purest form of honey was natural found in our village which inspired us to start our business of organic honey. The main idea came from there that we should bring our village honey here so that people may for once get to taste the real honey and enjoy its benefits.
How is Aadam’s Organic HONEY different from the rest of the honey found in markets?
Our product is made up of Organic Sidr, the mono-floral honey which comes from the bees that feed exclusively on the nectar of the wild Sidr tree. This ancient tree grows uncultivated in the remote mountains that climb up from the Karak Valley and the surrounding tribal areas of Pakistan. This area hosts the world’s oldest and largest Sidr Tree Forest. The quality of this Sidr Honey is so good that it has been rated the “best in the world” by honey connoisseurs at FoodEx 2016 held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Rest of the honey which is found in market is usually not in pure state and is the mixture of other ingredients. We offer our customers with pure honey coming straight from Banu KPK, Pakistan.
How has your experience been so far as a business owner?
The journey has been quite smooth Alhamdulillah. Aadam’s Organic HONEY has earned some loyal customers and 5-star reviews. This is the real motivation for us which will soon pave the way for our business to expand in coming years. We have encountered both criticism and appreciation. Where some people discouraged me, a lot of people on the other hand, supported me. It is my believe that if your product is genuine then you will be successful no matter what.
