The Muslim countries have had been trapped in following the political and economic systems of the West for a while now. Their social and cultural system, which had been relatively secure in the past, is now feeling threatened by western civilization. Unfortunately, the majority of Muslim men and women are aloof from the Islamic commandments of modesty. Ironically, by blindly following the hollow slogans of ‘absolute freedom’ we have not only compromised our basic beliefs but also become dishonored in the entire world. Allah has given Muslims a formal social system in the Holy Qur’an, which is an integral part of our Deen, and the Islamic civilization remained erected on that foundation for almost fourteen centuries.
A Muslim society cannot afford to mirror the Western civilization and be disloyal to the social system of Islam. Islam declares that modesty and faith are synchronous, and it logically follows that if immodesty prevails, then real faith cannot exist. The cohorts of Satan want us to go astray from the path to our real destination by trying their utmost to make us forsake Iman. Western NGOs and institutions are using evil ploys in the name of the so-called ‘freedom’ of women and if we fall into their trap then our society will be wrecked like that of the West. While there is no difference between men and women in terms of the characteristic of being human, however, each has been assigned a separate role.
The Western civilization disintegrated that system and men and women started interfering in the designated roles of each other, leading to an unnatural pathway to the apportionment of rights and duties. The family system of the West has been demolished and now they have turned all attention and efforts towards trying their utmost to destroy the family system in Muslim countries using social engineering programs and other deceptive slogans in order to impose immodesty, immorality, and vulgarity in Muslim societies. It is, thus, imperative for us to become modest and virtuous ourselves and strive our utmost to ensure that women are given all the rights endowed upon them by Islam. We ought to make Nikah easy and simple and strengthen our family system. The Qur’an identifies Muslims as the best among nations because Muslims perform the duty of enjoining good and forbidding evil. It is, therefore, our religious obligation to become an impenetrable wall against the onslaught of vulgarity and immodesty to be eligible for the pleasure of Allah in this world and in the Hereafter.
