With a sharp upsurge in Indian state-sponsored atrocities against its minorities particularly Muslims, the Modi regime is under unprecedented global pressure and facing humiliation on global amphitheater for failing to keep its status of being the largest democracy in the world. In a bid to keep its human rights violations under the wraps, the Indian establishment has played another card, The advent of ‘Tehreek-e-Taliban India” (TTI), an Indian chapter of “Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan” (TTP).
A couple of days ago, the so-called ‘Tehreek-e-Taliban India’ has broadcasted its operations in India via a Twitter account. The account claimed that TTI has started its activities in India following a meeting with the local leaders of the outfit. TTI also claimed that Twitter authorities have received a request from Indian law enforcement agencies to block the contents and accounts related to TTI. Apparently, this diversion could be a set up so that any future linkage of Indian agencies and TTI could be repelled instantly by Indian authorities, in fact, the bonhomie between Indian security circles and TTP is no more a secret to the international community and Pakistan has also effectively exposed the deleterious nexus at several occurrences.
Many believe that the revelation of the terror outfit is the trick being played by the Indian security establishment just to craft an optic to the slander Muslim minority in India with terrorism charges by establishing their acquaintances to “TTI”. This act can be designated as an eyewash to justify Indian antagonistic state policies towards marginalized minority communities to accomplish its long pursued goal of turning India into a total Hindu Rashtra.
The timing of the announcement has given birth to many qualms. Especially the declaration has come at a time when a stalemate has prevailed between Pakistan and TTP, moreover, India is set to undergo polls in several states including UP and Punjab. At the same time, the BJP regime is under immense pressure amid Hijab row protests spreading across India like wildfire. Modi-led BJP government is desperately finding a way to console the country’s wrecked image and calm recent outrageous Hindu-Muslim encounters across the country.
It is the time when Hindu-Muslim altercation in India is on a rising trajectory and partisans of Hindutva doctrine are openly expressing their abhorrence against the susceptible Muslim community. Indian Muslims are facing it really toilsome to keep their religious selfhood intact which is compromised by unceremonious Hindu fascism.
The Indian government is likely trying to link the indigenous freedom movement of Kashmiris with the Taliban through an obvious intent to deprecate decades-long struggle for a very democratic demand, the right of self-determination, and liberation from tyrannous Indian rule. By labeling Kashmiri Mujahedeen as Taliban affiliates, Indian agencies and authorities in the region could start a new era of subjugation and massacre of innocent Kashmiris under the facade of the fight against terrorism.
The astonishing victory of the Afghan Taliban against U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan has vitalized the objectives of many terrorist organizations working to subvert regional peace while working on the dictation of Indian intelligence agencies. Associating themselves with the Taliban and replicating their modus operandi has become a custom being adopted by several terrorist organizations nowadays. RAW has also cleverly done this ‘brand grabbing’ attempt by creating TTI just to further its hegemonic designs against Pakistan.
TTP and TTA however always denied their regional outreach, even TTP’s chief Noor Wali Mehsud in a recent interview to an Indian weekly has reiterated that TTP’s primary objective is to attack Pakistan and do not keep any resentments against any other country of the region. Nevertheless, it is genuinely feared that the Indian security establishment may be seeking new maneuvers to harm Pakistan’s interests by using TTI to target Pakistan with terror attacks especially aiming at CPEC projects.
India has a notorious history of playing filthy trickeries against Pakistan by amassing terrorists of several terrorist groups under the sphere of TTP to challenge the state writ of Pakistan by hitting with an acrimonious wave of terrorist attacks in every corner of the country. Pakistani authorities nonetheless have always expressed their concerns and demanded the international community to hold India amenable for directly sponsoring wreckage in Pakistan.
Recent developments in the region particularly amidst vulnerabilities in Afghanistan and a subsequent spike in terror instances in Pakistan managed from Afghan soil demonstrate that something is surely being cooked up between TTP and the Indian establishment. Some reports also suggest that Indian tentacles are vigorously recruiting terrorists from Afghanistan in association with TTP to wage a new wave of terrorism against Pakistan, and by establishing TTI, India is also planning some sort of false flag operations in India to exert pressure against Pakistan and to accuse Pakistan of harboring terrorism in the region at global forums.
Amid all the negative vibes coming from the neighbors and by considering all weather propinquity between TTP and Research & Analysis Wing (RAW) of Indian army, Pakistan needs to remain very vigilant and be watchful about whether this heinous plot of Indian establishment thrives to develop its ideological and physical linkage with TTP and brings transnational status to TTP or just ends up in smoke with rapidly growing communal spat in Indian society and already widened religious fault-lines.
