The road, Begum Kot to Nain Sukh is in a deplorable condition. The road had been laid many years ago. In the intervening years, much of the road has been badly damaged owing to the carelessness of authorities.
The locals asked many times requesting the concerned authorities about the Begum Kot Nain Sukh Road but to no avail. Owing to the poor conditions of roads, every day there is a mishap of some sort. During the rains, the situation becomes the worst. Vehicles get stuck miserably in the mud.
Due to heavy rain in the city, the road has become dodgier than before because there is no proper drainage system. It should come as no surprise to find that a poor drainage system results in water flooding the roads and that it, in turn, results in damage to those roads. And when your drainage system fails, citizens cannot even travel from one place to another due to the painful and distressing situation.
From a local source, it is noted that several students coming from Nain Sukh or Faizpur could not manage to get to Shahdara or Begum Kot as these are incredible educational hubs for their competitive studies over the years and consequently they surrendered their studies.
The children, elderly, and other people are getting hurt every day, not to mention the harassment the local residents are constantly facing. About ten thousand passengers move on this road daily. But the condition of the road is so bad that no vehicle can ply on it. It is extremely bumpy. Holes have been created at continuous distances and at every moment it is possible to occur an accident. So, people of different professions including businessmen, office staff, school-going students, and other passers-by are in great danger. Especially, from 8 to 9 am it is very risky for the little students to go to school. They are always under the threat of an accident.
