Story time: Courtesy is the virtue

One essential phenomenon unbeknownst to this generation is “RESPECTING THE ELDERS”. I would not bore anyone by quoting examples of my do’s and don’ts. This sounds drowsy to me, I wonder how you would react. However, I entirely do not endorse the idea of being unable to shut one’s mouth up at times when elders are speaking. This egoistic generation tends to think that acting rambunctious looks cool. Which ironically looks cold-blooded!

Just because you have started earning a few amounts of paper money, picked up a few kilograms of dumbbell rods, gained egg-sized teenage filthy muscles, raised your sparrow sounded voice, grew a few shiny facial hairs, read two, three books, done with one out of tenth degree, sat at a posh place, strolled with rich guys, saw a small number of places, upgraded your status, car and phone, YOU STILL NEED TO PAY RESPECT TO YOUR ELDERS…. and there are no ifs and buts about it!

If an elder shares his/her learning with you just because he/she doesn’t want you to fall, you must try to seek a tiny out of trillion pieces of advice. There should be zero room for an ego fight at the time of conversation. There is no shame in bowing your head down in front of a knowledgeable man. Just because you have finally got the accessibility to open up a tiny little brain window of yours, that genuinely doesn’t make you a big deal. Learning does!

One more limpid slogan this generation boldly chant is “STOP JUDGING“. Here comes my favorite part of the blog. I agree with the fact that body shaming, spreading color discrimination, racism, and prejudice against social order or rank is entirely wrong. I do not support such mindsets. But comparing two separate intents and hiding behind such terminologies shows obtusely. By endorsing a stop judging mindset, a thin line will be erased between right and wrong moderately.

Moreover, I have genuinely witnessed youth disrespecting the nation. The nation that is providing you food, shelter, clothes, and recognition. I agree with the fact that we as a nation are still on the race track of development, but that doesn’t mean that you tend to degrade the country. Remember that an educated and socially aware youth can be an asset to the nation, but an ill-educated and directionless populous can become a serious national security threat in an evolving regional security environment. Each and every individual has a certain responsibility towards the immediate society.

My dear conscientious teenager, you say you cannot forbear wrongdoings because you are a statue of truthfulness and justice. Don’t forget! Handling impertinent weapons is an art of life, not picking up the wrong fights. Those who know tolerance goes far up higher in life “with respect and dignity”, the words alien to you! Not everything is money and education, there are many other things that are needed to spend a respectful life. Without the proviso of flexing your baby pink tongue muscles caged in between 32 teeth! Your radius of life is still knee-high. There is a whole life remaining to learn, unlearn and relearn. If you ask me, I believe the bowl of knowledge never fills. The quest for knowledge increases progressively. God only opens the gate of honor for those who are aware of civility.

Always remember, only the “ba-adab” becomes the “ba-naseeb” (Reverence makes you Eminent)
