Robbery in Broad Daylight: Nightmare for Citizens

Robbery in Broad Daylight: Nightmare for Citizens

Possibly the most dangerous and scary issue of the time. No phrases can do justice to condemn this barbarismbarbarism. I have encountered police while filing a FIR three times, yet I continue to struggle to do so.

The first time I was robbed in broad daylight, I was looted. I called the police, but they didn’t arrive until the robbers had left the scene. Second, my bike was stolen right in front of my house, but the police did nothing to help. My bike was stolen for the third time today, so I hurried to the local police station to file a report.

However, the police officer on duty had a different philosophy, which made me wonder whether I was living in a dying society. It’s Pakistan. It is a 21st-century era. The police department has horribly failed to observe any changes as this age progresses.

I went to the chowki near Begumkot Shahdrah Lahore and when I told him my bike had been stolen and I wanted to file a FIR after entering his office, he quickly and firmly asked me, “Did you lock your bike?” Why did you own a bike if you couldn’t attach a wire lock to it? Don’t you realise that drug addicts dominate this culture and that they often steal from others because they are hungry.

Hearing such comments from a cop who is tasked with protecting public property astounded me to the core.

Robbery in Broad Daylight: Nightmare for Citizens

A police officer qualified to uphold the public’s respect. He has been granted this responsibility so that he might play a constructive role in relieving public anxiety by defending people’s morals, respect, and property. No action is necessary! How horrifying! How pitiful!
