The most celebrated evil skeptic nineteenth-century German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche also argues that the concept of evil should be abandoned because it contributes to an unhealthy view of life that supports relief and is more valuable than suffering. Nietzsche believes that the concept of evil is dangerous because it harms human potential and vitality by promoting the weak in spirit and suppressing the strong. The creation of value is of such great importance because it is the only means by which value can come to exist in the world. Values are created through valuing, and in section valuing. the creation of value occurs through the self-expression of unique individuals. There are a handful of common values that create really poor problems for people.
PLEASURE: Pleasure is great but it’s a horrible value to prioritize your life around. Research shows that people who focus their energy on superficial pleasure end up more anxious, more emotionally unstable, and more depressed pleasure is the most superficial form of life satisfaction and therefore the easiest to obtain and easiest to lose. Pleasure is not the cause of happiness rather it is the effect if you get the other stuff right( the other values and metrics ).
MATERIAL WEALTH: Many people measure their self-worth based on how much money they make, research shows that once one can provide for basic physical needs (food shelter, and so on), the correlation between happiness and worldly success quickly approaches zero, when people measure themselves not by their behavior, but by the status symbols.
ALWAYS BEING RIGHT CAN BE WRONG: Our brains are inefficient machines. the brain is complex, in humans it consists of about 100 billion neurons making on the order of 100 trillion connections it is often compared with another complex system that has enormous problem-solving power, the digital computer both the brain and the computer a large number of elementary units, neurons and transistors respectively, that are wired into complex circuits to process information conveyed by electrical signals, at a global level the architectures of the brain and the computer resemble each other. The computer has been built and programmed to defeat human masters in complex games, such as a game of chess in the 1990s and recently go as well as encyclopedic knowledge contests, such as the tv shows, etc. We consistently make poor assumptions, misremember facts, give in to cognitive biases, and make decisions based on our emotional whims.
The fact is, people who base their self-worth on being right about everything prevent themselves from learning from mistakes. They cannot take on new perspectives and empathize with others. They close themselves off to new important things pieces of information. This is why these values of pleasure material wealth, success always being right, and staying positive is poor ideals for a person’s life, some of the greatest moments of one’s life are not pleasant, not successful, not known, and not positive. The point is to nail down some good values and metrics and pleasure and success will naturally emerge as a result these things are side effects of good values. By themselves they are empty highs some examples of bad values unhealthy values, dominance through manipulation or violence, indiscriminate feeling good all the time, always being the center of attention, not being alone, being liked by everybody, being rich for sake of being rich.
you will notice that good, healthy values are achieved internally something like creativity or humility can be experienced right now. you simply have to orient your mind in a certain way to experience it, these values are immediate and controlled and engage you with the real world. values are about prioritization, everybody would love a good cell phone or a house in Dubai. the question is your priorities, what are the values that you prioritize above everything else, and that therefore influence your decision making more than anything else
