A person’s standard is shaped by their style. Fashion allows people to express their individuality through the selection of apparel, accessories, and grooming products that are in line with their tastes and personalities. A person’s taste and aesthetic sensitivities are reflected in their distinctive style, which can be expressed through vibrant colors, unique patterns, or simple designs.

Cultural Identity:

A key factor in determining cultural identity is dress. Every culture has a distinctive clothing known as traditional attire. When we celebrate our tradition’s cultural costume, it demonstrates to others where we are from. These outfits represent the history, traditions, and values of our community.

The fashion business contributes significantly to the world’s economies by creating jobs in a variety of fields, including production, retail, and marketing, and by bringing in billions of dollars in revenue annually. It can get expensive to follow the newest trends in fashion. Stress about money might arise when students feel compelled to purchase new outfits, accessories, and shoes on a regular basis in order to blend in or stay trendy.

Nineties fashion:

For males, the achkan, also called the sherwani, returned for more formal events, while shalwar kameez and waist coats were favored as near replacements for everyday casual attire.

Women had to wear modest shalwar kameez and dupattas, or long scarves, according to state institutions like PIA and PT. Equally harsh comments were also being experimented with by young guys.

Men high fashion included puffed sleeves, long tightly permed hairstyles, white trainers, leather or denim coats, and buttoned-down shirts with the top two or three buttons undone to reveal chair. Still baffles me how such loose-fitting shirts, sweaters, and jeans came to be so trendy. It was a daring, glitzy, dramatic, and creative time.

It became fashionable to wear half-sleeve dresses with big, bulky platforms. It was fashionable to have matte lips and Smokey eyes with a metallic effect.

Impact of Social Media on Fashion:

Social media has completely transformed the fashion business by changing the way people express their personal style, brands interact with consumers, and trends are spread. Social media sites such as Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest are excellent resources for fashion inspiration since they let users interact with influencers, find new looks, and join online groups.
