“When something is free, then we are the product”. When something is provided for free people take interest in it. This interest leads to addiction and by addicting to it; it slowly becomes disappear in our daily life. Recently technology made a tremendous development. And it changed completely human life; we can’t refuse technology’s benefits. There are a lot of things that were impossible without technology in the days of yore, or we can say that it is much more important. The most famous, reliable, accessible, need of the time and important technology of the modern era is social media. It solves many problems like helping children in learning, offering to practice 21st-century skills that are needed for the future, helping them in communication, sharing something valuable, building relationships among people across the world, keeping them connected, finding someone or location, showing truth to the society and many more.
Currently, the greatest issue is the imported government and its performance which was solved by the media, especially social media. It played a significant role and a lot of facts come in front and People become aware of the government and their poor strategies. But, as we know that everything has two aspects; negative and positive, technology also has positive as well as negative aspects. People are still unaware of the right use of social media and they misuse it, especially youngsters, teenagers, and students. Parents consider giving a phone to their child for their safety purpose; however, up to 90% of children using a mobile phone cannot focus on any other thing. They are only stuck in their own environment, it is a common sight these days to see a group of people standing together or sitting together but having no conversation because a whole world is provided to them just through a single click. According to the article, “Side Effects of Mobile Phones on teenagers” mobile phones may affect: Teen tendonitis, stress, sleep loss, accidents, anxiety, cyberbullying, false prestige, obesity, vision problems, and poor academics.
To conclude, apart from the advantages of social media, one cannot overlook its disadvantages. Although it is great to be a part of this growing technological world, don’t let the side effect of a mobile phone ruin your life. To overcome all these problems we need to just go back to normality. Normality means reducing the usage of the mobile phone as much as possible. If we reduce the usage of phones by only 10 %, we are not only safe from all these problems but we would be on a right track. Face-to-face communication would be everywhere among students, teens; young, professionals, and tremendous breakthroughs could be made. We can be aware of the environment that what’s going around us.
We would be mentally and physically fit, instead of wasting our precious time on silly things it could be spent on something creative that would be admired. We could rejuvenate strong studies, friendships, and family bonds. And once such a bond is developed, Cognitive capacity could be more dominant and the puzzle pieces would fit in the right place. Creative, positive, and critical thinking could arise and we can take advantage of all these and turn them into something huge. All these I really observe when I personally reduce mobile phone usage by just up to three (3) nights, an under-eye idea I had developed, and wrote my judgment.
