Pakistan Army always ready to serve the Nation

Pakistan struggles yearly to deal with the monsoon season, which wreaks havoc on the nation from June to August. But the season this year has been particularly brutal, The National Disaster Management Authority reported that 337 people have lost their lives, 370 have been injured, over 8,600 houses have been destroyed, and 50 bridges linking various parts of the country have been swept away as a result of the monsoon rains in the past five weeks.

Pakistan’s armed forces are symbols of national pride and honor that depicts the full confidence that the nation has in them. This confidence is the outcome of a rich history of the armed forces enduring commitment and dedication towards the nation during every disaster, natural or otherwise.

Pakistan Army Aviation launched daring rescue operations and save many precious lives. These actions of valor are reasons why the Pakistani nation has unflinching confidence in their brave armed forces who have always fulfilled their promise to the nation beyond the call of duty. Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Army, along with Sindh Rangers, were the first responders as the scale of urban flood in the street of Karachi was beyond the limited resources of the city’s municipal corporation.

Alongside the local communities and civil authorities, the Army was amongst the first to respond to the crisis. Troops were mobilized immediately to evacuate people. Boats and helicopters were used to reach all parts of the country. Pakistan Air Force and Navy FC and Rangers also have significant capability to undertake Rescue & Relief works. During this flood-2022, all three services rendered noble service to the nation.

Pakistan Army troops are assisting civil administration in rescue and relief efforts in areas hit by recent urban flooding in various parts of the country, The army’s dewatering teams are carrying out flood relief operations in District Jamshoro, Gharo Grid station, and Karachi’s South district including Shahra e Faisal and Nipa Chowrangi, Lasbela, Turbat, and Quetta.

The army’s teams have also established relief camps including medical facilities and distributed necessary food and ration among the local residents. Besides, medical teams also provided medical aid to over 1,500 people at Quetta, Turbat, and Lasbella in Balochistan.

The role of Pakistan armed forces in these rains is not limited to relief operations only. The current floods and rains in Pakistan have once again highlighted the illustrious traditions of the military forces of putting the country first. Without a doubt, the Pakistani military will continue to respond to natural disasters like floods, earthquakes, and landslides, among others, in the way that they have in the past. The nation is proud of its military forces, which continue to carry out their missions with courage, honor, and the highest level of professionalism.
