Rupee loses Rs2.14 per Dollar

In the course of Monday’s interbank trading, the value of the Pakistani Rupee decreased by Rs2.14 in comparison to that of the United States Dollar. As a result, the exchange rate for the Pak Rupee finished the day at Rs200.06, up from Rs197.92 on the previous day. The Foreign Exchange Association of Pakistan (FAP) reports that the purchasing and selling prices of the dollar on the open market were recorded at Rs197.6 and Rs199.6 correspondingly at the time of the report.

When compared to the previous day’s closing price of Rs212.92, the price of one Euro increased by 1.96 rupees and ended the day at 214.88 rupees. In the meanwhile, the value of the Japanese Yen stayed the same and finished the day at Rs1.52, while the value of the British Pound rose by Rs2.04 and was last seen being traded at Rs251.06. This is an increase from its previous closing value of Rs249.02. Both the Saudi Riyal and the Emirates Dirham saw their respective closing exchange rates rise by 58 paisas, bringing them to Rs54.46 and Rs53.33 respectively.
