India rejects China’s attempt to rename places in Arunachal Pradesh. In a decisive response to China’s persistent efforts to rename places within the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has issued a resolute statement.

The rejection comes amidst China‘s release of a fourth list of 30 new names for various locations in Arunachal Pradesh, escalating tensions between the two countries.

“Invented Names” Cannot Alter Arunachal Pradesh’s Integral Status

MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal emphasized that assigning “invented names” will not alter the reality that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral and inalienable part of India.

Jaiswal rejected China’s attempts, stating, “China has persisted with its senseless attempts to rename places in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. We firmly reject such attempts.”

Assigning invented names will not alter the reality that Arunachal Pradesh is, has been, and will always be an integral and inalienable part of India,” MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal was quoted as saying in the statement.

India Maintains Stance Despite China’s Assertions

India’s stance remains unwavering, reiterated on March 28, when it was emphasized that Arunachal Pradesh “was, is, and will always remain” an integral and inalienable part of the country.

Mr. Jaiswal reaffirmed this position during his weekly press briefing, asserting that China’s repeated claims would not alter India‘s stance.
