Blast at Indian court building kills two. According to officials, a huge explosion inside a court building in Ludhiana, India’s northern Punjab state, killed at least two persons and injured two more.
According to NDTV, the bomb damaged the walls of a lavatory at the judicial complex and shattered glass in other rooms.
The injured were carried out of the building by police personnel, according to a video uploaded online. Officers were also spotted telling people to leave the area and clear it.

Charanjit Singh Channi, the Chief Minister of Punjab, declared the government “on alert” and announced an investigation.
Channi also expressed his sadness over the explosion in a Twitter tweet, saying he was on his way to the site.
“I assure the people of the state that the guilty would not be spared,” he wrote.
“Anybody trying to disturb the peace and harmony of the state will be taken to task.”
Charanjit Singh Channi is an Indian politician who served as the 16th Chief Minister of Punjab. He is a member of the Indian National Congress. He was also Minister of Technical Education and Training in the Second Amarinder Singh’s ministry and leader of the opposition in the Punjab Legislative Assembly.
