Khaqan Abbasi asks for checking assets of former NAB chairman

Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi reiterated on Thursday that the country could not function without abolishing the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi stated to the media after appearing in an accountability court in Karachi that the assets of former NAB chairman (Javed Iqbal) should also be investigated.

“The NAB chairman will be asked what did he do in four years?” Abbasi said, adding that it would take time to improve affairs in the country.

He also said that the government did not take a U-turn on load shedding, adding that power load-shedding would be reduced to three hours after June 15.

“We did not have coal, oil, and gas,” Abbasi said, stating that the situation would improve in a few days but load shedding would not end completely.
