Educational activities stopped at Int’l Islamic University due to students protest

The International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) suspended educational activities on Tuesday due to student protests.

According to reports, university students are pushing for their demands to be met. They’ve been demonstrating since yesterday. They were able to close the university’s transportation section as well as all academic blocks and the majority of the varsity gates.

In light of the ongoing student protest, the administration has postponed the final exam scheduled for today at the university.

The students wanted the administration to accept their demands, which included an investigation into alleged varsity staff corruption and malpractice, as well as restrictions on students’ freedom of expression.

They also demanded that the varsity administration withdraw the ‘vindictive’ cases filed against the students. They demanded the construction of new hostels as well as the implementation of a one-window system in the university’s administrative section for the benefit of students.
