Negotiations with PTI are being started under SC’s direction: Sanaullah

Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has stated that the government is initiating negotiations with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) team at the direction of the Supreme Court.

He was speaking at a press conference in Islamabad with Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, who called the PTI rally illegal and unconstitutional.

According to Rana Sanaullah and Marriyum Aurangzeb, Babar Awan will lead the PTI team, while the Attorney General and the other three members have been nominated by the Prime Minister.

The federal ministers have declared Imran Khan’s two-million-mile march a failure because only three to four thousand people attended the rally.

Interior Minister Sanaullah said the parliament should take note of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister’s use of state machinery to attack the federal capital during Imran’s rally.

He stated that the KP CM’s use of state machinery to support the PTI rally is a constitutional violation, and they will face the consequences because it is an attack on the federation by a unit.

People have rejected Imran’s long march, he claims because it is illegal and unconstitutional. He also congratulated and thanked those who did not attend Imran’s rally.

He claimed that Imran Khan, in order to destabilize Pakistan, has set the date of May 25 for sabotage talks with the IMF.

In response to a question, Sanaullah stated that the situation would be clear in three to four hours when the rally arrived in Islamabad because the government had made all arrangements for their ‘facilitation.’

According to Sanaullah, police conducted 4,414 raids in Punjab, but only 1,724 people from Punjab and three from Sindh were detained under Section 3 MPO.

He also stated that approximately 250 PTI detainees were released following their statement of disassociation with Imran Khan’s rallies.

In any case, he confirmed to the media that no agreement has yet been reached with the PTI.
