The government has decided to close the Motorway and GT Road in light of the PTI’s long march towards Islamabad.
The closure goes into effect today (Tuesday) and appears to be aimed at preventing the PTI long march from reaching the federal capital.
The authorities have also increased deployment at all Lahore’s entry and exit points.
So far, police in Lahore have seized 120 tankers and obtained affidavits from transporters stating that they will not transport protesters.
