ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah summoned the Pakistan Army for the security of Islamabad’s Red Zone shortly after the government’s decision to halt the PTI’s ‘Azadi March.’
Army personnel will be stationed at PM House and PM Office, the Supreme Court, and other sensitive government buildings in the area, according to sources.
According to the sources, the army will be in charge of all security arrangements.
Section 144 has also been imposed for two months in the federal capital. The restrictions have been extended up to one kilometer from the Red Zone, according to a notification.
