The government has removed Islamabad IG of Police Ahsan Younus and transferred his services to the Punjab government.
Details indicate that on Saturday, the government removed Islamabad’s IG Younus and transferred him to Punjab while appointing BPS 20 officer Akbar Nasir Khan as the new IG of police in Islamabad.
Mr. Khan had previously worked for the National Counter-Terrorism Authority of Pakistan (NACTA).
Mr. Younus was appointed as the Islamabad IGP by the previous PTI administration in December 2021.
