COAS, Turkish defence minister deliberate on defence cooperation

General (retd) Hulusi Akar, Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Turkey, met with Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and discussed a number of issues with him.

According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, ISPR, the meeting covered topics of mutual interest such as defense and security cooperation between the two countries, as well as the overall regional security situation.

Both leaders expressed their desire to strengthen bilateral relations, including efforts to bring peace and stability to the region.

The visiting dignitary praised Pakistan’s contribution to regional security and connectivity and reaffirmed Turkey’s unwavering support for Pakistan’s position on regional and international issues.
