Officials from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) stated at a press conference in the presence of Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab that terrorists blew up railway tracks for Rs15,000 to Rs20,000 and detonated bomb blasts in Karachi for Rs50,000.
On Thursday, Administrator Murtaza Wahab told the media in Karachi that the terrorist, identified as Allah Dino, who had orchestrated the blast in Karachi’s Saddr area, was killed along with an accomplice during a CTD operation.
“Allah Dino was a resident of Umerkot, and he was an expert in making improvised explosive devices [IEDs],” CTD officials said, adding that Allah Dino received his training in Iran.
According to Murtaza Wahab, Allah Dino was first detained by law enforcement agencies, after which a FIR was filed against him and he was granted bail by the court.
“If such people are granted bail, they pose a danger to society,” says Murtaza Wahab.
The CTD officials also informed the media that Allah Dino was also involved in the destruction of railway tracks.
“He was involved in the Karachi Saddr blast, and he detonated the bomb,” they added.
CTD DIG Syed Khurram told the media that the slain terrorist was a member of the outlawed Sindh Revolutionary Army (SRA) and that he was an expert in making bombs, particularly IEDs.
He stated that the terrorist’s case was being investigated on technical grounds and that the terror finance team was also working on the case.
“The terrorists carried out small attacks like blowing up railway tracks for Rs15,000 to Rs20,000 and bomb blasts in Karachi for Rs50,000,” he explained.
