XPENG will launch its next-generation G9L flagship electric SUV in Pakistan in November 2026, bringing a technology-focused premium vehicle to the local market following its global debut at the Paris Motor Show on October 12.
The announcement was made during the local launch event for the XPENG L03. The G9L had previously debuted in China in September and is now beginning its wider international rollout.
Positioned as XPENG’s next-generation AI flagship SUV, the G9L combines a large cabin, advanced driver-assistance technology, rear-wheel steering and an 800V electrical architecture designed for ultra-fast charging.
However, the company has yet to confirm the Pakistani model’s specifications, powertrain options or price.
XPENG G9L Dimensions and Exterior Design
The XPENG G9L measures 5,120 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width and approximately 1,788 mm in height in its European specification. Its 3,100 mm wheelbase provides room for a spacious cabin.
Despite its size, the SUV is designed to remain manageable in tighter spaces. Rear-wheel steering helps reduce its turning radius to approximately 5.5 metres, while international versions also offer dual-chamber air suspension and adaptive damping.

The exterior follows XPENG’s minimalist design language, with a wide stance, smooth bodywork and slim lighting elements. Depending on the market and trim, available features include DLP pixel headlights, soft-close doors, a panoramic roof and large alloy wheels.
XPENG offers several exterior colours internationally, including Arctic White, Diamond Black, Mirror Gray and Waving Green. The final colour options for Pakistan have not been announced.
Electric Powertrains and Driving Range
The G9L has been developed with both battery-electric and range-extended electric powertrains. The version Pakistan receives will determine its performance, charging requirements and driving range.
In Europe, the battery-electric model uses a 110 kWh nickel-cobalt-manganese battery. The rear-wheel-drive Long Range variant produces 270 kW, equivalent to approximately 362 horsepower, and 465 Nm of torque. It offers a claimed WLTP range of up to 591 kilometres and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in seven seconds.
The all-wheel-drive performance variant delivers 430 kW, or approximately 577 horsepower, and 695 Nm of torque. It can reach 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, with a claimed WLTP range of up to 553 kilometres.
Both versions have a stated top speed of 200 km/h and a peak DC charging capability of up to 540 kW.
These figures relate to the European specification. Actual range can vary with driving conditions, temperature, speed and vehicle configuration, while Pakistan’s eventual model may have different specifications.
800V Architecture Enables Ultra-Fast Charging
Charging capability is one of the G9L’s main attractions. Its 800V electrical architecture and 5C charging technology are designed to reduce the time required to replenish the battery when compatible high-power charging equipment is available.
XPENG says the European electric version can charge from 10% to 80% in as little as 11.7 minutes under suitable conditions. Peak DC charging power is rated at 540 kW, while AC charging support reaches up to 22 kW on applicable versions.

These charging figures depend on factors including charger output, battery temperature and charging conditions. The availability of compatible high-power infrastructure in Pakistan will also influence the practical benefit for local owners.
G9L Range-Extended Version Offers Up to 1,602 Kilometres
China also receives a range-extended electric version, known as the REEV or EREV. Unlike a conventional hybrid, this configuration primarily uses its petrol engine to generate electricity, with electric motors driving the wheels.
The Chinese-market model combines a 1.5-litre petrol range extender with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. XPENG quotes an electric-only range of up to 435 kilometres and a combined range of up to 1,602 kilometres under the CLTC test cycle.
The range-extended version also uses the company’s 800V platform and 5C charging technology. XPENG says nine minutes of charging can add approximately 280 kilometres of range under its stated test conditions.
Pakistan’s powertrain options remain unconfirmed. Buyers will need to wait for the local launch to learn whether XPENG will offer the fully electric model, the range-extended version or both.
Premium Cabin With Six- and Seven-Seat Options
The G9L’s interior configuration varies by market. China receives a five-seat layout, while European versions are available with six or seven seats across three rows.
Available comfort features include Nappa leather upholstery, AI-adaptive front seats, climate-controlled seating and a zero-gravity front passenger seat on selected configurations.

The international model can also be equipped with a built-in 12.5-litre refrigerator, a 21.4-inch 3K-plus roof-mounted entertainment display, an eight-inch rear control screen and a 7.1.4-channel spatial audio system with headrest speakers.
A large panoramic roof, extensive storage and flexible seating arrangements further position the SUV for family and executive use. The equipment offered in Pakistan will depend on the final variant and local specification.
AI Technology and Five-Screen Cockpit
Technology is central to the G9L’s positioning. The SUV runs XPENG’s XOS 6.0 operating system and supports five-screen interaction, alongside an 88-inch augmented-reality head-up display designed to project navigation and driving information into the driver’s field of view.
International versions support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with Google Maps integration also available. Six-zone voice interaction allows passengers in different parts of the cabin to communicate with the vehicle’s voice assistant.
The SUV also uses XPENG’s Turing AI chips for computing and intelligent-driving functions. Higher-specification Chinese versions can feature up to three chips with a combined computing capability of 2,250 TOPS.
XPENG’s VLA 2.0 AI model supports its intelligent-driving system. The company says the technology can retain up to 30 seconds of contextual information and anticipate how driving situations may develop over the following six seconds.
The availability of these functions in Pakistan will depend on the local vehicle specification, software support and applicable regulations.
Safety Features and Testing
The European G9L comes with nine airbags as standard. Its listed safety technology includes automatic emergency braking capable of operating at speeds of up to 150 km/h and stability assistance designed to help drivers maintain control following a tyre blowout.
XPENG says it tested the SUV over three years across 26 countries and regions, covering more than 6.74 million kilometres. The company also reports conducting 192 crash tests during development, with the vehicle engineered to meet requirements associated with major five-star safety standards, including Euro NCAP and ANCAP.

Other listed capabilities include a water-wading depth of up to 700 mm and a towing capacity of up to two tonnes on applicable versions. These specifications should not be assumed to apply to every market or variant.
XPENG G9L Price in Pakistan
XPENG has not announced the G9L’s price in Pakistan. International prices provide an indication of its premium positioning but cannot be used to calculate a reliable local retail price without details of the imported specification, taxes and other costs.
The European model starts at €74,990 in France, while the reported starting price in Germany is €74,600. In China, limited-time prices for the six-variant lineup start at RMB 231,800 and rise to RMB 309,800.
These prices reflect different markets, configurations and pricing arrangements. Pakistan’s final price will depend on the version selected for local introduction and the company’s pricing decision.
What Pakistani Buyers Can Expect
The planned November launch will bring more clarity on the XPENG G9L’s local variants, battery or range-extender options, equipment and price.
Its large dimensions, advanced cabin technology, rear-wheel steering and high-power charging capability make it a notable addition to Pakistan’s emerging premium electric-vehicle segment.
However, the real-world ownership experience will also depend on charging access, after-sales support, parts availability and the specification offered locally.
For now, the confirmed development is the planned Pakistan launch next month. Buyers should wait for XPENG’s official local announcement before relying on international specifications or pricing when assessing the SUV.
