The Murree district administration has installed modern, colorful lighting at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office and PIA Park as part of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s “Bright and Roshan Punjab” vision.
The installation was carried out in accordance with the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Murree, with the Additional Deputy Commissioner Murree and the Managing Director of the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) coordinating the project at both locations.
Aim: A More Pleasant Environment for Tourists
Officials said the initiative is intended to enhance Murree’s overall appearance and create a more pleasant environment for visitors. They noted that Murree draws tourists from across Pakistan and remains one of the country’s major hill-station destinations.
Part of a Broader Push to Improve Public Spaces
The administration said the lighting project is part of a wider effort to improve the visual appeal of popular public spaces and recreational areas across the city, aligning local beautification efforts with the provincial government’s broader “Roshan Punjab” push.
