Motorola Moto Pad 70 Launched: Specs, Price & Availability

Motorola has introduced the Moto Pad 70, the third tablet in its Moto Pad 70 series, following the Moto Pad 70 Pro launched in June and the Moto Pad 70 Groove unveiled last week.

The company positions the Moto Pad 70 as a premium tablet built around portability, productivity, creativity, and entertainment, and describes it as the thinnest and lightest 5G tablet it has made.

Design and Display

The 5G version of the Moto Pad 70 measures 6.49mm thick, while the Wi-Fi-only model is slightly slimmer at 6.29mm. The tablet weighs 530g and comes with a metal build.

It features a 12.1-inch LCD panel with a 2,560 × 1,600 pixel resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and brightness of up to 800 nits.

The display also supports stylus input. Motorola is offering the device in a single color option, Pantone Sea Angel.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the Moto Pad 70 runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 chipset paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Buyers can choose between 128GB and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, with a dedicated microSD slot allowing expansion of up to 2TB.

The tablet ships with Android 16 out of the box, even though Android 17 is already available — Motorola says an upgrade to Android 17 will follow later, alongside a promised three years of security updates.

The device also includes AI-powered features such as AI Rewrite, AI Summary, and AI Continue Writing, which can be used together with the optional Moto Pen stylus.

Cameras and Battery

The Moto Pad 70 is equipped with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. It’s powered by a 10,200mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging, though Motorola includes a more powerful 68W adapter in the box.

Other notable features include an IP52 water and dust resistance rating, four Dolby Atmos-tuned speakers, dual microphones, a USB-C port, support for voice calling, and compatibility with an optional keyboard accessory.

Price and Availability

The Moto Pad 70 will be available in 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB configurations. Motorola has so far only confirmed pricing for the 256GB variant, priced at $356. The Moto Pen stylus is bundled with the tablet, while the Moto Folio keyboard is sold as a separate accessory.

The 256GB Moto Pad 70 goes on sale starting August 15 through Motorola’s official website, Flipkart, and select retail stores.
