Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party President Abdul Aleem Khan held a key political meeting at Parliament House, reinforcing their commitment to joint governance and political cooperation in Gilgit Baltistan.

The meeting focused on the formation of the regional government in Gilgit Baltistan and explored avenues for continued collaboration between the two parties. Both leaders exchanged views on political stability and agreed that coordinated efforts were essential to effectively serve the people of the region.

Shared commitment to Gilgit Baltistan

During the discussion, the leadership of the Pakistan Peoples Party and the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party reached a clear understanding to continue working together in Gilgit Baltistan. They emphasized that cooperation would help ensure smooth governance and address the developmental needs of the region.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed appreciation for the support extended by the IPP leadership during the government formation process. He highlighted that political collaboration, rather than confrontation, was essential for strengthening democratic institutions in Gilgit Baltistan.

The meeting was attended by senior PPP leader and Member of the National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf. From the IPP side, Aun Chaudhry, Gul Asghar Baghor, and Munaza Hassan participated in the discussions, reflecting the importance both parties attached to the dialogue.

The interaction at Parliament House underscored ongoing coordination between the PPP and IPP as they work toward finalizing governance arrangements in Gilgit Baltistan.
