Pakistan Opens Mandatory Hajj 2027 Registration Through Pak Hajj App

Pakistan Opens Mandatory Hajj 2027 Registration Through Pak Hajj App

Pakistan has officially opened mandatory registration for Hajj 2027, allowing intending pilgrims to complete the process digitally from their homes through the Pak Hajj mobile application and the government’s online system.

The registration drive was formally launched on June 22 by Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.

The move marks an early start to Hajj preparations and aims to improve transparency, planning, and quota management.

Registration Is the First Required Step

Officials have clarified that this phase is not the final booking process. It is an initial registration stage that determines eligibility for Hajj 2027. Only individuals who complete this registration will be allowed to apply once the official Hajj booking stage begins.

Registration is compulsory for pilgrims intending to travel under both the government and private Hajj schemes. Applicants will be given the option to choose between the two schemes at a later stage.

Registration Is Free and Nationwide

The government has confirmed that no registration fee is being charged at this stage. Applicants can register through the Pak Hajj mobile app on Android and iOS, the online Hajj Management System of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, or selected bank branches across the country.

Authorities stated that bookings will later be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to Pakistan’s officially allocated Hajj quota.

Pak Hajj App Expands Digital Access

The Pak Hajj app has been upgraded to serve as a comprehensive digital platform for pilgrims. It allows users to verify personal details, bank information, group data, mehram records, nominee information, and helper details.

Additional features include passport and photograph uploads, health forms, training schedules, QR codes, accommodation information, multilingual prayers, and lost-and-found services. Private Hajj applicants can also track their application status and package details directly through the app.

Passport Not Required Yet but Validity Rules Apply

A Pakistani passport is not required during the registration phase. However, it will be mandatory at the booking stage.

According to the minister, passports must remain valid until at least November 26, 2027. Earlier guidance and registration notices issued by Allied Bank mention a slightly earlier validity date of November 16, 2027.

Applicants have been advised to confirm the final requirement with the ministry before submitting their booking applications.

Hajj 2027 Costs Yet to Be Announced

The government has not yet disclosed the final Hajj 2027 package prices, instalment plans, or booking timelines. These details will be announced later under the official Hajj Policy 2027.

Once the policy is issued, registered applicants will be able to proceed with bookings under the government scheme or select an approved private Hajj operator.

Pakistan Seeking Higher Hajj Quota

The religious affairs minister also confirmed that Pakistan is in discussions with Saudi Arabia to explore the possibility of increasing the country’s Hajj quota for 2027.

Officials say early registration will help authorities negotiate better arrangements, manage pilgrim logistics efficiently, and ensure smoother operations ahead of one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.
