Sania Mirza, India’s tennis star, played tennis at the Sports Board Punjab’s tennis stadium at the Nishtar Park Sports Complex on Tuesday.
Sania Malik, the 35-year-old wife of Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik, played tennis with Pakistan legends Aisam-ul-Haq and Aqeel Khan at the event.
Sania praised the caliber of the amenities offered at the tennis stadium while speaking with a Sports Board Punjab (SBP) official.
Sania, who won the 2015 Wimbledon women’s doubles title with Martina Hingis of Switzerland, remarked, “The SBP Stadium is equipped with all current amenities; it will help a lot in creating top-class tennis players in the future.”
Sania, India’s former top-ranked tennis player, believes Pakistan has a lot of tennis talent, and that the SBP stadium and academy will help to promote the country’s young male and female tennis players.
