Obscene Dance Video Inside Rawalpindi Judicial Complex Sparks FIR

Police on Monday registered a case after a video allegedly showing an obscene mujra dance gathering inside the Rawalpindi Judicial Complex surfaced on social media, officials confirmed.

According to police sources, the First Information Report (FIR) was lodged at Civil Lines Police Station following a formal complaint submitted by a session court watchman.

The complainant stated that the video appeared to have been recorded on the premises of the judicial complex.

The FIR said the footage circulating online shows men and women allegedly engaged in inappropriate and indecent activities inside the building.

Investigators believe the incident took place in a section of the complex commonly used by lawyers, raising serious concerns about security and decorum within a sensitive judicial facility.

Police officials said the individuals visible in the video can be clearly seen, which may help authorities identify those involved.

“The clarity of faces in the footage will assist us in the identification process,” a senior police officer said on condition of anonymity.

Following the registration of the case, police launched a formal investigation and began tracing the source of the video. Authorities are examining how the footage was recorded inside a high-security area and whether any security lapses or internal negligence occurred.

Officials said CCTV cameras installed within the judicial complex are also being reviewed to determine the exact time and location of the incident.

Digital forensic teams have been tasked with identifying the original uploader and tracking the spread of the video on social media platforms.

Legal experts say any confirmed violation inside court premises could attract strict legal action, as judicial complexes are governed by specific codes of conduct and security protocols.

“Such acts, if proven, undermine the dignity of the justice system and cannot be taken lightly,” a senior lawyer told reporters.

Police said relevant legal provisions have been applied in the FIR, and additional charges may be added once suspects are identified and questioned. No arrests had been made by the time this report was filed.

Authorities assured that the investigation would be carried out transparently and that those responsible would be held accountable under the law, regardless of their status or profession.
