PM Shahbaz pays respect at Roza e Rasool

MEDINA: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation paid their respects at Roza-e-Rasool (Peace Be Upon Him) in Medina Munawara on Friday.

At Riaz-ul-Jannah, the prime minister offered Nawafils and prayed for the country’s security, progress, and socioeconomic development.

When Prime Minister Sharif arrived, he was greeted by Medina Governor Prince Faisal Bin Salman Al Saud and other high-level Saudi officials. The prime minister is accompanied by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Finance Minister Miftah Ismail, and other federal ministers.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Narcotics Control Minister Shahzain Bugti, and other cabinet members accompanied PM Shehbaz Sharif.

This is Prime Minister Sharif’s first foreign trip since taking office earlier this month.

During his visit, the premier will meet with the Saudi leadership, with a particular emphasis on advancing economic, trade, and investment ties, as well as creating more opportunities for Pakistan’s workforce in the kingdom.

The two parties will also discuss a variety of regional and international issues of mutual interest. The Prime Minister will make a trip to Roza-e-Rasool (SAWW). In addition, he will perform Umrah in Makkah.

According to a Foreign Office spokesperson, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share a fraternal relationship characterized by mutual trust and understanding, close cooperation, and a long history of mutual support.

“The people of Pakistan have the highest regard for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques,” he added.
