President Arif Alvi and the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Umar Ata Bandial will be contacted by PTI Chairman Imran Khan to inquire about the progress of investigations into a letter from the United States (US) that referred to the “conspiracy” against his government.
Pakistan’s prime minister wrote to the ambassador in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, and said that threatening the diplomat in a formal meeting was shameful and against diplomatic norms.
Such an egocentric and undiplomatic response has no place in today’s world, he said, adding that the independence and sovereignty of a nation go far beyond defending its government.
Although he claimed that the local traitors received money from their foreign handlers, the public has realized what is happening and is angry and disappointed by foreign interference in the country’s political affairs.
Even though people are angry that thieves are being labeled as traitors, Imran Khan asserted that postponing the PTI’s long march toward Islamabad would be difficult.
While recently discussing the telegram received from Pakistan’s Embassy in Washington, the National Security Committee (NSC) concluded that “no foreign conspiracy” to overthrow Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government had taken place.
An official statement issued following the 38th NSC meeting stated that it reaffirmed the previous NSC meeting’s decisions, which were made during former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s administration.
During the meeting, Dr. Asad Majeed Khan, a former Pakistani ambassador to Washington, D.C., provided an overview of the contents of the diplomatic cable.
There is no evidence of a conspiracy, according to the most powerful security agencies.” As a result, the NSC has come to the conclusion that there has been no foreign conspiracy after reviewing the contents of the communication, the assessments received, and the conclusions presented by security agencies,” reads the statement.
