After the recent suicide bombing at Karachi University (KU), the government has decided to increase security on the campus.
The university’s administration claims that security for international students, including those from China, has been stepped up. The Chinese nationals have been restricted in their movements.
Karachi University’s main entrance will have a walkthrough gate to ensure that no one enters without first being thoroughly screened.
Only two lanes will be reserved for students and staff to enter and exit the university, and anyone found with steel, iron, or ammunition will be arrested.
The university will also have police and rangers on campus, and checkpoints will be set up in strategic locations.
