Punjab Launches Anti-Drone Units in All Districts

An overnight Iranian drone strike on a major U.S. military air base in Kuwait has injured 15 American service members, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing regional conflict, U.S. officials confirmed. Most of the injured personnel have since returned to active duty.

The attack targeted Ali Al Salem Air Base, located approximately 37 kilometers (23 miles) from the Iraqi border, a key hub for U.S. air and logistical operations in the Middle East.

According to CBS News, citing two U.S. officials, the drone strike occurred overnight and resulted in injuries to 15 American troops. Officials said the majority of those wounded have already resumed their duties.

A spokesperson for U.S. Central Command confirmed that a total of 373 U.S. personnel have been injured in operations linked to the conflict with Iran. Of these, approximately 330 troops have returned to service, while five remain in serious condition.

IRGC claims responsibility

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed responsibility for the strike, saying it was part of its 98th wave of coordinated attacks. In a statement carried by Tasnim News Agency, the IRGC said it targeted multiple sites across the region.

The statement claimed strikes on Ali Al Salem Air Base and Camp Victory in Iraq, as well as locations inside Israel, including Tel Aviv, Haifa, Petah Tikva, and Beersheba.

According to the IRGC, aircraft were struck at the Kuwaiti base, troops were targeted in Petah Tikva, industrial facilities were hit in Beersheba, and helicopter hangars were destroyed at the Al-Adiri base in Kuwait. These claims could not be independently verified.

Earlier strikes reported

Separately, on April 6, Ibrahim Zolfakari, a representative of Iran’s General Staff of the Armed Forces, said Iranian forces had also targeted U.S. troops stationed on Bubiyan Island, off the coast of Kuwait.

He stated that U.S. personnel had been relocated there from Camp Arifjan, another major American military installation in Kuwait.

The latest developments have intensified concerns about a broader regional confrontation, with military analysts closely monitoring the security situation around U.S. bases and key strategic locations in the Gulf.
