Kuwait’s defence ministry has confirmed that multiple United States military aircraft crashed on Monday, triggering widespread attention on social media amid heightened regional tensions following Iran’s retaliatory actions against the joint United States–Israel military campaign.
In an official statement, the ministry said that “several United States military aircraft crashed” on March 2, adding that all crew members survived the incident.
Search and Rescue Launched Immediately
Kuwait’s defence ministry spokesperson, Col. Said Al-Atwan, said search and rescue operations were initiated immediately after the crash.
“The crews were evacuated and transferred to hospital for medical treatment,” the statement said, adding that all personnel are in stable condition and have received the necessary medical care.
Coordination With US Forces
The spokesperson stressed that Kuwaiti authorities coordinated directly with US military forces following the incident and that joint technical measures were put in place to assess the situation and secure the crash site.

The incident comes at a sensitive time, as regional security remains strained due to ongoing military escalation involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.
Footage Shows Jet Crashing Near US Base
The statement followed reporting by CNN, which geolocated video footage circulating online that appears to show a fighter jet crashing in Kuwait, with a pilot ejecting moments before parachuting safely to the ground.

According to CNN, the footage suggests the aircraft came down within 10 kilometers of the US Ali Al Salem Air Base, a major American military installation in Kuwait.
Possible F-15E Involved, No Official US Confirmation
After reviewing the video, CNN reported that the aircraft’s configuration appears consistent with a twin-engine F-15E fighter jet, though this has not been officially confirmed.

As of publication, US Central Command has not issued a statement confirming the type of aircraft involved or the circumstances surrounding the crash.
