PMDC Warning: Avoid Fake Medical & Dental Admission Offers in Pakistan

FPSC Issues New Instructions for CSS 2026 Exams Starting February 4

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has issued a public warning to students and parents about fraudulent advertisements claiming to offer medical and dental college admissions without meeting the mandatory eligibility requirements.

In a statement, the council noted a rise in misleading ads circulating in newspapers and social media, particularly targeting students who failed the Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT).

MDCAT Eligibility Remains Mandatory

The PMDC clarified that students who do not qualify for MDCAT are ineligible for admission to medical or dental colleges in Pakistan. Even if a student secures admission through unofficial or fraudulent channels, they will not be registered with the PM&DC.

Foreign Admissions Require PM&DC Compliance

The council also emphasized that admission to foreign medical or dental institutions does not automatically guarantee registration in Pakistan. Graduates seeking to practice in Pakistan must fulfill all PMDC requirements, including passing MDCAT and meeting prescribed eligibility criteria.

Verify Official Information Only

The PMDC advised applicants and parents to rely solely on official announcements and confirm admission-related information through the websites of provincial admitting universities and other relevant authorities. This step is crucial to avoid falling victim to scams.
