Lahore Police have arrested Salman Qadir, son of former Pakistan cricket legend Abdul Qadir, on allegations of sexually assaulting a domestic worker. The arrest was made after Barki Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) based on the victim’s complaint.
Police confirmed that the case has been registered under relevant sections related to sexual assault, and the suspect was taken into custody shortly after the FIR was lodged.
FIR Registered After Victim’s Statement to Police
According to police officials, the 21-year-old victim approached authorities and provided a detailed statement, which formed the basis of the FIR. SP Cantt Ikhlaqullah Tarar stated that police completed all legal formalities before registering the case and initiating arrest proceedings.
He added that investigators are currently examining all aspects of the incident and collecting evidence to ensure a transparent and lawful investigation.
Alleged Abduction and Assault at Farmhouse
In her statement to police, the victim said the suspect contacted her by phone and asked her to report to work earlier than her usual time. She claimed that when she reached the main gate of a private housing society, the suspect allegedly forced her into his car.
The victim further alleged that Salman Qadir then took her to his farmhouse, where the sexual assault reportedly took place. Police are verifying the location details and collecting supporting evidence as part of the investigation.
Medical Examination and Legal Support Provided to Victim
Authorities confirmed that the victim is undergoing medical examinations, which are a standard legal requirement in sexual assault cases. Police also stated that legal assistance and protection have been provided to the victim in accordance with the law.

Officials emphasized that victim safety and confidentiality are being prioritized throughout the investigation process.
Police Say Investigation Is Ongoing
Lahore Police have stressed that the investigation remains ongoing and that further action will be taken based on forensic reports, witness statements, and other evidence. Police said no final conclusions will be drawn until the investigation is completed and the case proceeds through the legal system.
Authorities also reiterated that the law applies equally to all individuals, regardless of social status or family background.
