Dr Lalwani completed her medical education at a medical college in interior Sindh and has taken over the role from Dr Meena Mehak, who was transferred to Karachi following a promotion.
Sources confirmed that doctors assigned to the Parliament House are selected from the Federal Government Services Hospital (FGSH) in Islamabad, with professional competence as the key criterion.
