Well Details and Testing Results

The Bilitang-1 well was spudded on August 10, 2025, and successfully drilled to a total depth of 4,011 meters (TVD). Logging-while-drilling and wireline log data confirmed that the primary exploratory target, the Lockhart Formation, was successfully tested.

  • Gas flow rate: 1.37 Million Standard Cubic Feet Per Day (MMSCFD) at a 32/64-inch choke

  • Wellhead flowing pressure: 254 psi

Officials stated that the discovery de-risks further exploration potential in the TAL Block and opens new opportunities for additional drilling in the region.

Implications for Pakistan’s Energy Sector

Industry analysts say the discovery strengthens Pakistan’s natural gas reserves and supports ongoing efforts to meet growing domestic energy demand. The TAL Block, already a focus for upstream development, could see increased exploration and production activity following this find.
