In the past, President Arif Alvi had said that he couldn’t take the oath of office from members of the federal cabinet because of his health. Finally, he agreed to do his constitutional duty.
He will swear an oath today from three federal ministers and one from the state government.
Chaudhry Salik Hussain of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid, Mian Javed Latif of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, and Agha Hassan of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) will all become federal ministers today. Mohammad Hashim Khan Notezai, who is also from the BNP, will become a minister for state today, as well.
