PM Shahbaz to preside over National Security Committee today

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will preside over a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) later today (Friday).

At 2:30 pm, the National Security Committee will convene at the Prime Minister’s Office. All three service chiefs of the armed forces will attend the meeting, which will be chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz.

According to sources, the conclave is expected to make significant decisions regarding national defense and security.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of the Army Staff, paid a visit to newly elected Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday.

The army chief briefed Prime Minister Shehbaz in detail on national security issues.

The one-on-one meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and COAS Bajwa took place at the Prime Minister’s Office.

This was the first meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz and Army Chief Bajwa since the Centre’s government changed.
