New Leak Claims Galaxy S26 Ultra Will finally Get a Bigger Battery

A new leak from China has added fresh fuel to the ongoing debate over the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra’s battery capacity.

Earlier reports offered conflicting claims, with some suggesting the upcoming flagship would surpass the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s 5,000 mAh battery, while others expected Samsung to keep the same size.

The latest leak points to a modest increase.

5,200 mAh battery

According to the new source, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a 5,200 mAh battery, giving it a slight edge over the recent Ultra lineup, which has consistently shipped with 5,000 mAh units. While the increase isn’t dramatic, it would mark the first bump in capacity in several generations.

This new claim contradicts an earlier Chinese certification from August, which listed a rated battery capacity of 4,855 mAh, a figure that traditionally translates to a 5,000 mAh typical capacity.

Given the conflicting information, it may take more leaks or Samsung’s official reveal before the exact size becomes clear.

Battery size isn’t the only rumored change. Earlier leaks suggest the Galaxy S26 Ultra could support 60W wired charging and 25W wireless charging, offering a notable improvement over the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s 45W wired and 15W wireless charging capabilities.

With its expected launch still months away, more details are likely to emerge as production units begin appearing in certification listings and benchmark databases.
