A 13-year-old maid was allegedly tortured to death by a house owner in Lahore on Wednesday.
According to police, the deceased, identified as Muskan, worked as a maid at the home of Qadeer, a resident of Ghalib Market.
She was rushed to Children’s Hospital after her condition deteriorated due to the house owner’s torture, police added.
The hospital’s doctors declared her dead, stating that she had died prior to arriving at the hospital.
Additionally, the deceased had both old and new torture marks on various parts of her body.
Muskan was brought to the Children’s Hospital by accused Qadeer’s driver, and upon his identification, police arrested the accused.
During interrogation, the driver stated that he and Muskan worked at the residence of the accused Qadeer.
Muskan’s body has been transferred to a morgue for autopsy, according to police.
