Punjab University is offering free coding classes

The University of Sargodha’s Career Development Center (CDC) has launched a free online Python programming course in partnership with iCodeGuru, aiming to equip students and faculty with essential digital skills through hands-on training.

According to a university spokesperson, the course has already attracted over 2,000 student registrations, with several faculty members also joining to improve their programming knowledge.

Python, recognised globally for its ease of use and broad application in fields such as data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and web development, remains one of the most sought-after programming languages.

Professional instructors from iCodeGuru are leading the sessions, which emphasize real-world coding tasks, practical exercises, and project-based learning to build solid technical foundations.

Director of ORIC, Prof Dr Ahmad Raza Bilal, praised the team effort behind the initiative. He said the course supports ORIC’s mission to offer technology-focused learning opportunities for students and educators alike.
