The Punjab government has officially announced new winter school timings for schools in 2025, applicable to both public and private institutions across the province. These updated schedules will be in effect from October 16, 2025, to March 31, 2026, ensuring students’ comfort during colder months.
Single-Shift School Timings
Boys Schools
All single-shift boys schools in Punjab will now operate from 8:45 AM to 2:45 PM, Monday through Thursday.
On Fridays, schools will close earlier at 12:30 PM to accommodate shorter schedules before the weekend.
Girls Schools
Single-shift girls schools will start slightly earlier, from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, and will close at 12:15 PM on Fridays.
These timings aim to maintain smooth academic operations while considering the seasonal drop in temperature.
Double-Shift School Timings
Boys Schools (Morning & Evening)
For double-shift boys schools, the morning session will be held from 8:45 AM to 12:45 PM, Monday through Thursday, and until 12:30 PM on Fridays.
The evening session will begin at 1:00 PM and conclude at 5:00 PM during the week, with Friday classes running from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Girls Schools (Morning & Evening)
Similarly, girls double-shift schools will follow these winter timings:
Morning session: 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM (Mon–Thu) and 8:30 AM to 12:15 PM (Fri)
Evening session: 12:45 PM to 5:00 PM (Mon–Thu) and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (Fri)
These adjusted hours ensure a safe and manageable routine for both students and teachers during the winter months.
Implementation Period
The Punjab school winter timings 2025 will remain in force from October 16, 2025, until March 31, 2026. The Education Department has directed all institutions to strictly follow these timings and display the updated schedule at school entrances.
