Reham Khan, the former wife of Prime Minister Imran Khan, also arrived at the Parliament House on Saturday to witness her ex-almost husband’s certain demise from power following the vote on the opposition’s no-trust motion.
Reham, PM Imran’s second wife after Jemima Goldsmith, came to prominence when she married him on 6 January 2015, while he was chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI).
The knot, however, did not last long, as it came to an end on October 30 of the same year due to some disagreements between the two.
Later, prior to the 2018 general elections, her memoirs were published, which contained extremely derogatory content about her ex-husband. The book was not well-received, particularly by Imran’s supporters, who believed its publication was timed to harm his party’s election prospects.
There was a widespread perception that she had been used by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the PTI’s main rival, to bring a bad name to Imran and diminish his popularity.
