Pakistan’s registered voters now exceed 139m: ECP

Pakistan’s registered voters now exceed 139m.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said on Saturday that the total number of registered voters in Pakistan has reached 139.49 million.

According to the electoral watchdog, as of September 11, the number of male voters stood at 72.354 million, while the number of female voters had reached 62.595 million.

The figures showed that the male voters make up 53.62 per cent of the total, while female voters account for 46.38 per cent.

Punjab was holding the highest number of registered voters, with over 76.8 million, followed by Sindh with 28.278 million. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has 23 million registered voters. Balochistan has more than 5.6 million eligible voters.

In the federal capital, Islamabad, the number of registered voters is 1.21 million.

The ECP has released the figures after reviewing the electoral rolls.
