The Punjab government responded to the Supreme Court on Monday regarding a brawl in the Punjab Assembly’s hall following the adjournment of the assembly session until April 6.
The reply stated that a session had been convened on April 6 to elect Punjab’s new Chief Minister.
“The Punjab Assembly will convene in a peaceful manner,” the response reads.
“On April 3, several female parliamentarians were involved in a brawl. However, Punjab does not have a law and order problem,” it added.
