KP government ends BS programs in colleges.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department has issued a notification announcing the closure of BS programs in government colleges across the province.
According to the notification, many subjects offered under BS programs have been declared unnecessary, and instead, Associate Degree (AD) programs will be introduced in their place.
The department stated that enrolment in BS programs has remained low, while the dropout rate has been very high, prompting the decision.
The notification further mentioned that various subjects have been closed in 36 colleges, and a detailed list has been released. In total, 230 BS programs in 128 colleges have been shifted to AD programs.
