Bilawal hopes for ‘iftar’ in old Pakistan

As the first day of Ramazan falls on Sunday, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has stated that people will have Sehri [pre-dawn meal] in ‘Naya (new) Pakistan’ and will enter ‘old Pakistan’ by the time of Iftar (tomorrow).

He was referring to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s likely removal from office via a no-confidence vote in the National Assembly tomorrow.

Bilawal told the media in Islamabad that devils are being imprisoned throughout the holy month, and that the “devil of Bani Gala” [PM Imran’s mansion] will be caged as well.

He also expressed reservations over Prime Minister Imran Khan’s call for nationwide protests against opposition leaders.

Earlier today, the country’s embattled premier asked young people to come to the streets to organise “peaceful demonstrations” against a “foreign conspiracy” plotting to destabilise his government.

“Raise your voice and stage protests against this plot not for me, but for the country’s future,” he said in a Saturday speech to the youth.

According to Bilawal, there are allegations that the “defeated” Prime Minister Imran Khan would try to subvert the democratic process, and that PTI “goons” are heading to Islamabad before of the no-trust vote.

He also urged the prime minister to choose the “honourable exit” rather than the “NRO or backdoor option” in order to rescue his government.

“Resign or face a no-confidence resolution in the National Assembly,” he added.
