In light of the rapidly shifting political situation in Punjab, PPP Co-Chairman and former President Asif Ali Zardari has called a meeting of the provincial parliamentary party for later today (Friday).
According to reports, a meeting of the Punjab PPP parliamentary party would be held tonight at 6 p.m. at Zardari House in Islamabad. The meeting will be presided over by Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
The PPP leadership is expected to create a plan in response to the rapidly evolving political scenario in Punjab.
Bilawal assembles an activist team
The PPP has become engaged in playing a dynamic role in the future political setup of the country’s most populous province. Chairman Bilawal has assembled a group of PPP volunteers to lead the campaign in the province.
Former Prime Minister Raja Ashraf, ex-governor Makhdoom Ahmad Mehmood, ex-minister Qamar Zaman Kaira, Punjab Assembly legislative leader Syed Hassan Murtaza, former MNA Nadeem Afzal Chan, and MPA Ali Haider Gilani will be part of the Punjab delegation.
