Make hay while the sun shines

On March 8, the united Opposition filed a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Ahmad Khan Niazi in the National Assembly. The stance of the annexed opposition is that the country is on the path of decline instead of progress. The majority in this confederated opposition is comprised of the classes that had been in power for the last 30 years. The alliance of this so-called joint opposition is also unnatural. Till yesterday those who were about to drag each other on the streets of Lahore and Larkana, today they have come together only by the lust for power. Manipulation has started to quench this lust. On the other hand, Niazi Sahib does not have time to meet his MNAs. People started getting angry with him. Taking advantage of this, the opposition decorated the market to buy conscience.

In exchange for money, people’s consciences started bidding. Coalition parties also began to waver. At the same time, the OIC Foreign Ministers’ Conference was held which ended successfully. The matter cooled down for a few days. As soon as the conference ended, the political temperature began to rise sharply. Circumstances reached such a stage that Khan Sahib had to give a surprise by inviting Public Tsunami to Islamabad. And the surprise was somewhat dangerous. There is no doubt that before today, in most of the countries of the Global South, the imperialist powers have overthrown elected governments for their own interests. Somewhere in Pakistan, too, these forces have been involved in overthrowing governments. When this conspiracy was hatched against the ruling government, the head of government revealed the secret. Only time will tell how much truth there is in this conspiracy (threatening letter). After this surprise, Imran Khan tamed a coalition party as a so-called surprise. The question is whether the people in the houses of power make decisions out of greed for position titles or in the national interest.

If the offer of the post of Chief Minister did not come, would the PML-Q support the opposition? Are support and opposition guaranteed in the lure of personal benefit in politics? When will this kind of culture end? When will the public aspirations and interests be truly interpreted? Now another ministry is being lured to persuade another ally. Khan Sahib, if you had to do that, it would have been better if you had sat in the opposition. You were an ideologue. Governments may end, but ideologies cannot. Did you dispense ministries just to form your own government or did you do it on merit? The ministries distributed among all the allies were out of the race for the top ten positions according to your own proposed performance evaluation scale. Apart from enjoying the luxuries, their role in the persuasion of national interest is not vital.

But they took advantage of the opportunity and then shined their shop. For the sake of a few votes, they won Chief Minister Ship of the largest province. Khan Sahib Do you think this is not venality? Rather, you have become a trader of this kind of buying and selling. I think this act of venality is justified in your opinion. Surprisingly, we wretched people are taking it as a good omen. The country is made up of nations. Governments come from the tail of the nation. But here the nation’s spectacle is being made. As far as Buzdar Sahib’s incompetence is concerned, the noise of which started when he took over the ministry, did you know that he is not qualified to run this province.

If you knew, you have wasted the nation’s money and time by making him Chief Minister. If you thought he was eligible, then you snatched his chair today for the sake of your own PM Ship and deviated from your statement as well. But why did you do that? You said, “I have not bowed down to anyone and I will not let my people bow down before anyone either” but then you bowed down to the insignificant internal power! If from the day of submission of the no-confidence motion till today the coalition parties were not satisfied with you and your policies having the pre-existing positions, ministries, and privileges. So let them go and keep defending your character and policies and there is no doubt that you gathered a crowd of people to defend it and show it to those whom you intended to show. All these people are with you not for the sake of the country and the nation but for the sake of their personal gains. According to the opponents, there was no development in Punjab during the time of Buzdar. Has Chaudhry Sahib now got the magic wand that will turn Punjab into London within approximately 1.5 years? These are political maneuvers that bypass the national interest. The time has come to eradicate the lust for power and the elements that are robbing the national interest.
